FROM THE PRODUCERS OF THE SOLD-OUT RUN OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE’S ‘LAND OF THE DEAD’ The Shakespeare Company and Ground Zero Theatre with the generous support of Hit & Myth reunite to present William Shakespeare’s TITUS Andronicus.
Undeniably the most graphic work in Shakespeare’s canon!
Titus Andronicus returns home victorious from a ten-year war with the Goths bringing home as his captives; Queen Tamora, her lover Aaron, and Tamora’s three sons.
Ignoring Tamora’s pleas, Titus hands over her eldest son for sacrifice, thus setting in motion an unrelenting cycle of political turmoil and revenge.
Violence of ritual sacrifice, mutilation, cannibalism, and murders come to life exploring the dark recesses of humanity.
